The Art of Miss Aniela
It is not too often that you come across an artist who doesn’t only create great art, but who has also managed to create a new language — a new world in which she invents the rules and then plays them so naturally.
Miss Aniela is such an artist. The surreal world she created, with herself as the main actress, is captivating. If there’s one thing I wish I could have learned from Miss Aniela’s work is how to create such a diversity that never cease to amaze and surprise the audience… and always within the boundaries of the same self-created world.

I never played a musical instrument. I can’t read notes, and I can’t identify the cords of a song. Yet music was always a significant part of my life.
Years ago - in a different lifetime - music was a real obsession for me. This was before the time of MP3, iPod, Last.fm, and Jamendo. The only way to be an obsessive music junky back then was to buy records (sounds better than “buying CDs”), and the only way to discover new music was to listen to commercial radio stations and to watch MTV.
Being as obsessive as I was, this clearly wasn’t enough. (more…)

New Home Page and Portfolio
Fragments v2.0 (the parent site of this blog) just got a new look… and updated content.
Feel free to have a look at the new home page, which now contains direct access to special projects, my portfolio, and of course this blog.
In addition, I changed the Portfolio section from the ground up. It now contains selected works in one stream (without categories or series association). The reason for this change is to make the Portfolio section as simple and accessible as possible. I believe that as an added value, the new content organizations gives the viewer a sense of the urban scenery as I see it — changing with every step you take, and always surprising.
I hope you’ll find the new design and content appealing. I’d be happy to receive comments and ideas, so feel free to contact me.
