If you are a regular reader viewer of this blog, you might wonder why it hasn’t been updated for a couple of weeks. Well, there’s a good reason…. we are reloading!

From 01.01.2009, Fragments, The Blog will be freezed. Instead a new blog/magazine shall be launched. I call it Fragments, Reloaded.

The first thing you’ll notice when Fragments, Reloaded is launched, is that it contains much more content. Of course, new photos will be added to the Photoblog section on regular basis. But the Photoblog is just one section in the new format.

Fragments, Reloaded will present articles about photography as I experience it. The focus will not be on technical issues (although I don’t rule it out completly), but rather on telling a story, creating emotions, and communicating ideas. Another new section in Fragments, Reloaded will be dedicated to presenting the work of featured artists. And of course, you, as a Fragments, Reloaded reader, will gain inside information on projects and news related to my work.

That’s also a great opportunity to thank Thad Allender from Graph Paper Press for his remarkable WordPress theme which enabled me to achieve the right visual concept for the new blog.

I invite you to regularly visit and read Fragments, Reloaded once it is launched. Until then… have a great holiday, and a happy new year.

For more than two years, I’ve been wandering the streets of Tel-Aviv with a camera — trying to capture fragments of urban life and scenery. During one of my walks, I came by a flower.

It was a simple graffiti flower drawn on a wall as if it was placed on a street bench. The way this flower — a figment of someone’s imagination — was so naturally placed in the real world, drew me to a different world. A world in which matter and antimatter blend to create stories.

During the months that followed I collected more stories created on the boarder line of two parallel universes. Together, they form a bigger story. A story told by a city.

I am very proud and excited to present Urbanity, Part I: Antimatter.

“Antimatter” was on my mind for the past six months, since I saw that flower on the wall. Now, that all parts of the story are in place, I’m very excited to share it with you.

I hope you’ll enjoy the series. Please feel free to contact me and share your thoughts and feelings.

The Urbanity Project is only 10 days away!

I have to admit I’m really excited. This project is on my mind and on my table for the past six months (and that’s only for the first part). It took a lot of energy to avoid releasing single photos one at a time, but I honestly believe they will make more sense together.

And… if you’ll forget, you can always count on this blog to remind you in real-time (include the feed in your favorite news reader, and you won’t be able to miss it…. ;) ).
